heart broken....

Today we found out that Grandpa VanAuken passed away through the night. It has been such a sad day to think that this amazing man is gone. I have been blessed to have known him and call him Grandpa for 5 years. I remember the first time I met him....I knew after that weekend it was the beginning of a grandpa and grandchild relationship that I didn't get as a little girl. We just celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's 50th anniversary less then 6 months ago and enjoyed seeing him smile with the love of his life. I look up to these two for they love they have for each other. After hearing the news it reminded me that life is short and I hugged my husband and children a little harder and longer today. Please think of the VanAuken family though this week. Friday is the funeral and we will need prayers.

Rest in peace Grandpa VanAuken, we will miss you dearly.
